** Please remember:

  • If you have a question or need help and are able to continue working until someone can help you, place the yellow Post-It on the side of your computer monitor sticking out like a flag

  • If you have a question or need help and are not able to continue working until someone can help you, place the red Post-It on the right side of your monitor sticking out like a flag

 

  1. Decide which type of “Product “ you want to make:

    1. Motivational poster –Great for content area vocabulary

    2. Magazine cover – Great book report alternative, Famous Americans reports

    3. Movie poster – Famous Americans reports, Unit Summary report

    4. Trading Card – book reviews; “5 fact” report; Character book report

  2. Use the appropriate worksheet to plan your project – you’ll find some sample photos on the media (Y:) drive in a folder called “Big Huge Labs”

  3. Go to www.bighugelabs.com

  4. Pick the type of project that you are going to create

  5. Upload the photo and complete the information for the project using your planning sheet

  6. Save the project to the student H: drive

  7. Print your project if you would like to take it with you.

  8. If you have time, you may start another project

 

 

Other ideas for using Big Huge Labs:

  • Mosaic Maker – Teacher can make a mosaic from several pictures and use the mosaic to introduce a unit of study

  • Photo booth – Students could make a food chain

  • Billboards – Show a historic place
